The N42 Neodymium D50 Thread magnet’s pulling force to a thick piece of steel approximately 36kg – the thinner the contact surface, the weaker the magnetic pull force will be. 

The exposed magnetic surface diameter of this magnet is 50mm with the height of its steel casing being 60mm.

As can be seen with these threaded magnets or, also called (deep) pot magnets, the intensity of its magnetism is a result of the Neodymium Magnet being housed inside the steel casing and therefore the magnetic force being concentrated toward the contact surface.

This is the largest in our range of Thread magnets and is recommended for anyone out there that has the application to utilise this D50 Thread Magnet to its full potential.
At it greatest strength when used perpendicular to its contact surface. Moving this magnet sideways is relatively easy, nonetheless one can use it this way, whereas you will get the full force of this magnet used straight-up
