While not as strong as Neodymium Magnets, Ferrite magnets are made from the chemical compound Ferrite. Ceramic Magnets, being non-metallic magnets have a high magnetic permeability, therefore they are able to store stronger magnetic fields than their metallic magnet counterparts.

These magnets have great endurance and more than not outlive the application for which they are used for. These magnets have a high resistance to heat- up to 250°C, excellent resistance to oxidation, what’s more Ceramic magnets are highly resistant to demagnetisation from external magnetic fields. A further characteristic of ferrite magnets is that they have high intrinsic coercivity.

All grades of Ferrite magnets start with the letter “Y”. The number following the letter indicates the maximum energy product for the magnet. In addition, the letters following the number further differentiate between grades with differentiating attributes.
All of our Ferrite magnets are Y30BH graded.
