Our ferrite round base magnets are also commonly known as cup magnets, holding or holder magnets or even shallow pot or just pot magnets. In effect, our pot magnets are permanent magnets housed in a steel outer shell, this Ferrite ring inside has an outer diameter of 29mm an inner diameter of 4mm and a thickness of 4mm, which would ordinarily have an approximate pull force of 1,45Kg (This pull force of this ferrite ring is based on a direct flush contact with a thick, clean steel plate in which the magnets pull is directly parallel to the magnet itself and not at a right angle). With pot magnets, the steel cup redirects the magnetic field lines toward the contact surface, consequently increasing the magnets holding power, additionally providing the magnet inside added strength, which then in turn allows this magnet to have a pull force of 2.9Kg – almost double its original power! The Steel casing also acts to protect the magnet from chips, cracks and breakages.

These pot magnets have a hole through their center, for various mounting applications, where one can fix a screw, eyebolt, hook…
Funnily enough, these magnets are also called holding or holder magnets due to their obvious uses of holding various items.
Often used as retrieval magnets due to their central hole – one can thread a rope through the hole without affecting the actual magnet. These fixing magnets are so versatile due to the hole through the center of the steel cup that encases them. Adding to their scope of functionality that includes amongst others fixing applications in any and pretty much all industries and environments.
